Alzheimer's and Exercise

Recent research in Japan reveals that exercise is more beneficial than diet in treating Alzheimer's Disease.  Exercise reduces the number of Amyloid plaques in the brain which contribute to the progression of the disease.  Exercise improved memory.    http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2012-06/asfb-eik061312.php

Exercise & stroke prevention

"Silent strokes," (un-noticed) can often be prevented by engaging in moderate to severe exercise on a regular basis.  A study done at Columbia University with 1,238 participants showed that people who exercise are 40% less likely to have a silent stroke.  People who do have silent strokes are at increased risk of falls, memory problems, dementia and stroke.
